Who I am

Troy Richardson is a Los Angeles–based Senior Copywriter, creative strategist and musician known for blending sharp writing with a strong sense of rhythm. Since late 2023, he has served as Senior Copywriter at Belkin, where he develops compelling brand narratives and campaigns for one of the world’s leading consumer electronics companies.

Creative Career

Richardson’s work in advertising is rooted in a philosophy that great ideas start with great headlines. His approach prioritizes bold concepts and clear messaging — crafting headlines and subheads that pull readers in and carry momentum through the body copy.

Before joining Belkin, Richardson worked as a Senior Copywriter at Guitar Center, where he created campaigns and brand storytelling for one of the most iconic names in music retail.

He studied advertising and creative strategy at The Book Shop, a respected Los Angeles ad school, where he trained from 2015 to 2019 and developed his foundation in conceptual copywriting.

Music and Creative Roots

Outside the agency and brand world, Richardson is also an active musician and songwriter. He is the founder, lead vocalist, and bassist of the Los Angeles alt-country rock band TruckerBomb, a project that blends gritty Americana with rock-and-roll storytelling.

His musical background continues to influence his creative work — bringing a sense of timing, voice and authenticity to everything he writes.

Richardson is a graduate of Berklee College of Music, where he studied songwriting, further shaping his narrative instincts and creative voice.
